
Alyssa Lee Standen is an American writer and director based in Cleveland, OH (but she can't stand the snow and thinks about moving to the beach often).
She flourished for six years in production offices for films and commercials alike. Among some of her credits are Queen + Slim (Universal Pictures), White Noise (Netflix), Shooting Stars (NBC Universal), Slowburn Shoot (TRG Sound & Vision), and Blade (Disney/Marvel Studios).

Her senior capstone film Forgive Me (2019) won several awards including a BEA Award of Excellence, Best Ohio Film nomination at Nightmare Film Fest, and received distribution with Bloody Disgusting as part of their World of Death: Bloody Bites short film program.
Her short film Trashy (2025) received multiple selections and awards with Arizona International Film Festival, River Bend, Shorted, IndieX, and Chicago Women Film Festival. She is currently developing a drama feature Playground, which Trashy is based off of, and Midnight Fleur, a horror feature.
